Our policies for your booking & experience

General Overview

Enjoy Dominica Salt Life is a locally owned and operated tour company offering whale swimming and watching, snorkeling, sunset cruises, fishing charters, land tours, airport transfers and more.
All bookings, payments, and participation in our services are subject to these Terms & Conditions.

Booking & Reservation Policy

Booking Requirements

Guests must provide accurate contact information when booking.

Full payment or a 50% deposit is required to secure a reservation.
Booking confirmations will be sent via email or WhatsApp.

Group Bookings

Groups of 6+ may require additional notice and may be subject to special pricing.

Payment Policy

Booking & Deposit

A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your tour or service.

Bookings are not confirmed until the deposit is received.

Balance Payment

The remaining 50% balance must be paid at least 7 days prior to your scheduled tour or service.

For bookings made less than 7 days before the tour, full payment is required at the time of booking.

Accepted Payment Methods

We accept payments via:

Credit / Debit Cards

PayPal

Online Payment (via our website/online payment processor)

Cash (for on-site payments, subject to prior arrangement)

Late or Failed Payments

If the balance is not paid by the due date, your booking may be automatically cancelled.

Any bank or transaction fees are the responsibility of the customer.

Refunds & Cancellations

Deposits are non-refundable, except in cases of tour cancellation by Enjoy Dominica Salt Life.

Full payment refunds will only be issued according to our Cancellation & Refund Policy.

If you need to reschedule, we will do our best to accommodate your request subject to availability.

Confirmation

Once payment is received, you will receive an email confirmation with your booking details.

Please review all the details carefully and contact us immediately if corrections are needed.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

Customer-Initiated Cancellations

Timing of Cancellation Refund / Deposit

More than 14 days before the tour: Deposit (50%) non-refundable; remaining balance not yet paid – no payment due.
7–14 days before the tour: Deposit non-refundable; any full payments made may be partially refunded for the balance only.
Less than 7 days before the tour: No refunds on any payments made.

Deposits secure your booking.
Rescheduling requests are subject to availability.
Deposits may be applied to a new date if agreed in advance.
Rescheduling within 7 days of the original tour date is not guaranteed.

Company-Initiated Cancellations

Tours may be canceled by Enjoy Dominica Salt Life due to weather, safety concerns, or unforeseen operational issues.

If we cancel, you receive:

A full refund or
A rescheduled date (your choice) at no additional cost

Refund Policy

Refunds for approved cancellations by the company will be processed within 7–10 business days to the original payment method.
Bank or transaction fees, if any, are deducted from the refund.
Deposits paid by the customer are non-refundable except in cases of company-initiated cancellations.

How to Cancel

Cancellations or rescheduling requests must be made in writing via email or our booking form.
The cancellation or rescheduling date is considered the date the notice is received.

Ocean Wildlife Encounters

Swimming with whales and other marine wildlife is conducted under Dominica Government permits and strict safety regulations.

Encounters with wildlife cannot be guaranteed due to the natural behavior of marine animals.

Guests must follow all instructions provided by the captain and guides at all times.

Anyone who refuses to follow safety instructions may be removed from the tour without a refund.

Safety Requirements

Health & Fitness

Guests should:

Be comfortable on boats
Have basic swimming ability (for water activities)
Notify us of medical concerns in advance

Equipment

Life jackets must be worn when instructed.
Snorkel gear is provided; guests may bring their own.

Liability

By participating, guests acknowledge the risks associated with:

Boating
Snorkeling
Swimming with wildlife
Outdoor adventure activities

Enjoy Dominica Salt Life is not responsible for injuries resulting from unsafe guest behavior, failure to follow instructions, or personal medical issues.

By participating, you acknowledge the inherent risks of water and outdoor activities and accept responsibility for your safety.

Land Tours & Transportation

Transport times may vary due to traffic or weather.
Guests must be ready at the agreed pickup time.
Extra fees may apply for additional stops or waiting time.

Weather & Sea Conditions

Dominica’s weather and sea conditions may vary. For the safety of all guests:

The captain and tour operator have full authority to:

Delay departures or activities
Alter the planned itinerary
Shorten the tour duration
Cancel the tour entirely

No partial refunds are provided for tours that are shortened due to weather or sea conditions.

In the event of a full cancellation due to unsafe conditions, guests will be offered a full refund or the option to reschedule.

Personal Property

Enjoy Dominica Salt Life is not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen items, including:

Phones
Cameras
Bags
Clothing
Or other personal items

Photography & Media Consent

By participating in any tours, cruises, or services offered by Enjoy Dominica Salt Life, you acknowledge and agree that photographs, video recordings, and other media (collectively, “Media”) may be taken during the experience. You further agree that Enjoy Dominica Salt Life may use such Media for advertising, promotional, marketing, social media, website content, or any other lawful purpose, without further notice or compensation to you.

You waive any right to inspect or approve the Media and release Enjoy Dominica Salt Life from any claims related to the use of the Media, including claims of defamation, invasion of privacy, or infringement of moral rights or rights of publicity.

If you do not wish to be photographed or recorded, please inform our staff before the start of the tour or activity.
